Diversified Indian Society

I live in a city of Ahmedabad the biggest city of Gujarat state. I came down here just a year ago and found a great example of diversified India.

I generally go to the IIM-Ahmedabad area where hundreds of youth gathered after 10 PM mostly on weekends. That was the time when the india was burning in the flames of rape and got slapped by all around the world.

One weekend i went to IIM-A and hanging around with my friends. To my surprise i have seen a girl selling a sandwich around 1.00 AM in the night.The age of the girl would be around 24-25 years. She wore a shorts and t shirt. One can feel the confidence in her loud voice and her body language.  The girl was surrounded by more than 50 boys of the age of 25-30. She seems to me like she was in the most comfortable state. That day i have read on a social website that one german professor has refused to take an indian student in her's research team just because he was a boy and the very same day i encountered the scenario in the night.

The German proffesor had a myth that india is a country of rapist and her female students would not be safe with an indian male student. That night i badly want that professor to be there and see the scenario and witness the truth. I really appreciate the spirit and courage of that girl as well as the boys who were there and enjoying with their friends instead of any doing any unsocial act.

Those two truely opposite incidents in a single day forced me to think that is it the same country where girls are not allowed to go outside after 7 pm in the evening or they have to wear the ethnic traditional wear only.

We indians really need to think alot we are not bad some antisocial element mark our bad impression in worlds map. we need to think how to deal with it.
